Did you know that 90% of the world’s population lives under the poverty line? Well, if you didn’t, now you know. This is exactly what the case is more especially for developing countries of the world. For this reason, every government today is initiating various schemes focused on improving the quality of life for the underprivileged and needy in the society. However, such schemes never get to see the light of the day due to rampant corruption by the people in charge and eventually collapse before achieving the ultimate objective of improving the quality of life for all citizens. NGOs on the other hand have come in to save the situation to help the needy members in the society.
Relief Trust India is one of the NGOs funded by willing volunteers and government initiatives to help in funding the various projects undertaken by the organization to improve the quality of life in the end. The following areas are considered critical by this Trust and thus receive a greater percentage of the funds allocated to help the needy.
A healthy nation is a thriving and growing nation and for that reason enhancing proper health for everyone is critical. Within India alone, there are many families that are not privileged enough to afford basic health treatment resulting to untimely death for most of the citizens. Such deaths could actually be prevented if the right medication was administered to the patients in time. Relief Trust India is here to ensure no single life is lost just because one cannot afford the right to medical facility and treatment.
Shelter
Proper housing makes up part of the basic necessities for human beings. There are millions of people across the world that cannot have access to decent housing and thus opt for the slums where life is unbearable. In the slums, there are many misfortunes that face the people living there, including floods washing away their temporary shelters leaving them miserable. Relief Trust India and other NGOs come into play to help such individuals at least put a decent roof on their heads thus guaranteeing a decent life for them.
Food
No food, no life; that is the rule of life. There are many people across India and other parts of the world living in abject poverty to a point they can’t afford food on their table at least thrice a day. It takes the intervention of such organizations as Relief Trust India to be able to feed these citizens languishing in hunger and poverty.
Gender inequality issues
For a long time, women have been faced with various challenges regarding their gender. With the help of NGOs and private organizations, the fight for equality between men and women has been sought and now women are able to compete favorably with men for jobs, political positions and many more.
Disaster management and awareness
It takes the intervention of the government to rescue its citizens from natural calamities and disasters, but at times of emergencies and severe effects, NGOs come in to help such victims rescuing them and helping resolve various problems regarding the disasters.

Some time back the HIV infected patients and elderly were not properly taken care of because of ignorance from the rest of the society. Relief Trust India and other trusts have lately joined hands to help care for these individuals as they are also valued in the society. This is done through the provision of basic needs so that they can sustain their lives.

It is the aim of Relief Trust India to ensure maximum rural transformation by undertaking the various activities discussed above. With such help, every citizen can become fortunate enough to access the necessities of life and so boosting the quality of life for all.
